Biomolecules - group activity
What is this about?
This activity is to familiarise you with the large biomolecules their monomers and its general molecular structure. What do you have to do? You will prepare 3D models of the monomers for each bio molecule. This has to be pasted on a thermocol sheet so prepare the model accordingly. we will provide the thermocol sheet you will have to get material for the model. Along with the monomer you have to show the biomolecule- a picture or drawing. The model should show the elements and the bonds properly. A colour code has to be followed for the elements. The innovativeness is the use of materials for the elements and the model. Rubrics This activity carries 30 marks 1. Proper structure of monomer- 2 X 4= 8 2. Pic/drawing of the source- 1 X 4 = 4 3. Elements in the monomer- 2 X 4= 8 4. Proper colour code and key for elements- 1 X 4 =4 5. Innovative use of material- 4 6. Overall appearance- 2 When do you submit - on Monday 23rd March. |
